Olga’s Spa: For the Beautification of the Body and Soul

Olga’s Spa in Highland Park has earned its first-rate reputation for facials, manicures, pedicures, body wraps, other beauty services, and kind hearts. This will be the sixth year that Olga and her generous staff contribute their time and energy to what she likes to call “Rory Day.” On that day, the proceeds from all of the shop’s products and services are donated to The Rory David Deutsch Foundation. This year the event is scheduled for Sunday, September 25, 2005, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. “The shop is not usually open on Sunday,” Olga said. “We are giving our time, our skills, and our day off to The Foundation.”

But there’s more to “Rory Day” than looking and feeling good. The event also features a delicious buffet, a raffle, and a silent auction. “The Highland Park community has always been generous in donating auction items,” Olga said. “We appreciate all of those who contribute to, and participate in, the raffle and auctions. That is where we make the most money for The Foundation. We love to have hard-to-find or hard-to-get items such as autographed sports memorabilia or game tickets.” To date, Olga and her staff have raised almost $40,000 for pediatric brain tumor research.
