Saks Support Always In Fashion

2002 marked the second time Saks Fifth Avenue in Highland Park cheerfully opened their doors to a private shopping event for The Foundation. “We followed the same successful formula as last year by staging a fundraising fashion show,” said John Cruz, General Manager of the store. “It featured the distinctive Armani Collezoni line.”

Cruz stated that the presentation highlighted men’s and women’s fashions for the fall, running the gamut from sportswear to formal wear. “The event was even more special with fabulous Spiaggia as caterer,” he noted.

The fashion show, staged in June, ran from six p.m. to nine p.m. Ten percent of all purchases was donated to help create brighter tomorrows for children with brain tumors. The percentage of the evening sales amounted to nearly $2,700.

“Saks Fifth Avenue is always happy to participate on behalf of Rory,” Cruz said. “We are very much a part of this community and this is an important hometown cause. It involves children too and that’s another reason it is an important part of our community outreach program.”

This special store, one of Saks’ jewel boxes, is located at 1849 Greenbay Rd, near the center of town and close to our hearts.
