Olga
Nisenboim is in the business of making things better. Her popular beauty
spa in Highland Park makes people look and feel better through massages,
facials, manicures and other services. For one day each year, the spa is
devoted to making things better for children with brain tumors
Olga's Day Spa held its annual fundraiser for the Rory David Deutsch Foundation
on September 10, which raised $4,800 for research dedicated to pediatric
brain-stem gliomas. One hundred percent of the salon's earnings that day
were donated to the Foundation. Many members of Olga's staff donated their
time for the day as well.
A silent auction and raffle were also conducted to raise additional funds.
"The raffle was new this year and included items contributed by local
merchants," said Olga. "Thanks to their generous support, we were
able to bring in even more funds than last year. There was a real spirit
of community and goodwill that day." |
